About Joshua D. Case

Joshua D. Case is an experienced education professional based in New Jersey. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Rowan University and two Masters of Arts in Teaching from William Paterson University and New Jersey City University, as well as New Jersey teaching certificates in multiple subject areas and specialties.

Joshua's expertise comes from a wide array of experiences. He started as a marching band instructor at Upper Moreland High School in 2012, soon after working in the informal education sector at Adventure Aquarium in Camden and the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange. He has also instructed award-winning marching band programs at Montville Township High School as visual caption head and Columbia High School as assistant director, among many others in the tristate area. He started in the classroom in 2015 working as a middle school science teacher with the Community Charter School of Paterson, where he also founded and directed their competitive drumline. This experience led him to work as a special education teacher in the South Orange-Maplewood School district where he founded and advised their esports program, and as a middle school science teacher, esports coach, and marching band instructor in the Woodbridge Township School District. He currently works with Dumont Public Schools as a middle school STEM and academic enrichment (gifted) teacher during the school year, with New Milford Public Schools as a high school autism teacher in the summer, and with Park Ridge High School as their assistant marching band director. He is also an admin with Garden State Esports after four years as the head esports coach at New Jersey City University.

When he is not living his best life as a teacher, Joshua has many other hobbies and interests. He enjoys spending time with his school counselor wife and their three rescued cats, is an avid enthusiast of all things Nintendo, enjoys frequent trips to the Catskills and the Jersey Shore, and plays saxophone in community performance groups throughout North Jersey and New York City.
